It isn't a movie title, but the people who will make the immediate future of BeeSeek: we are looking for debuggers.
After the bug 172810 will be fixed, as the developer Andrea Corbellini says, will begin the debugging period of Hive.

To become a protagonist:

- read the Community page

You can find all the help pages about bug-hunting on the wiki:

Good luck! P

For newcomers.

Sat, 09/15/2007 - 16:57 — Jak-o

Beeseek is preparing to open to the public, and to greet newcomers that eventually will join us. Andrea Colangelo, a.k.a. Warp10, is preparing a FAQ section to answer common questions; Claudio Azzarello, a.k.a. CohibO, already prepared a wiki page about the community structure, with all the details needed to join one of our teams (see the entry Overview on BeeSeek).

Welcome back!

Mon, 09/03/2007 - 12:24 — Jak-o

While the sun shone on the beach-umbrellas, the BeeSeek's hive continued to hard working, producing some interesting news. Besides the constant develop of Hive and Hive Manager, the Andrea Corbellini's creations, the new BeeSeek Wiki changed its platform from MediaWiki, one of the most known, to MoinMoin, the platform used, in example, in the Debian Wiki (http://wiki.debian.org/FrontPage) and Italian Ubuntu Wiki (http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org) . Most are the motivations of this change, in example MoinMoin provides a roomier interface than MediaWiki and a best format, highlighting the source code syntax, so that we can create a more clearly documentation. For them that would help us, but are get used to MediaWiki there are no problems! MoinMoin, in fact, use a nearly equal syntax (with some little difference). For them that don't know the MediaWiki syntax, there is a good WYSIWYG (http://wiki.beeseek.org/SyntaxReference) and a good graphic editor. Again, MoinMoin is Python powered, so you can join the Wiki Team to contribute to the modify of the wiki pages appearance.
We are also searching an alternative platform to phpbb, the actual platform that run our forum. The comunity proposal are good accepted ;) . Give us your opinion in the comments!
Have a good day!

Hive and Hive-manager Alpha 1 released

Sat, 08/04/2007 - 10:08 — CohibO

Released Hive and Hive-manager Alpha 1 Versions. Hive is the main application running on the BeeSeek server, while Hive-manager is a tool to control Hive from a local machine. Hive is now running with two instances on BeeSeek's server in order to test Hive itself. At the moment there are some problems, but we are analyzing them in order to understand if these problems are Hive bugs or hosting service problems.
Is active on the wiki a page dedicated to all the news about BeeSeek. The page is at http://www.beeseek.org/wiki/it/News
Have a great BeeSeek expirience!
CohibO.
